Independent Scrutineer

Bracknell Forest’s multi-agency safeguarding arrangements were established in July 2019, forming a single, all-age Safeguarding Board. This brings together statutory partners at a senior level, supported by a Safeguarding Partnership and a number of subgroups that help deliver the Board’s strategic priorities.

An Independent Scrutineer supports the Board by providing objective oversight and constructive challenge. Working closely with the Board’s Business Unit, the Scrutineer helps ensure that safeguarding arrangements are effective and that the Board is making a meaningful impact on the safety and wellbeing of children and adults at risk.
